Each and every diamond is unique. Clarity refers to the inclusions or characteristics within the diamond that occurred whilst it was being formed in the Earth.
These are natures special fingerprint, that makes each diamond unique. Inclusions can come in many different forms such as feathers, clouds or crystals and the majority are invisible to the naked eye.
Gemologists grade a diamond’s clarity under 10X magnification.
The inclusions in a Diamond graded SI2 and above are not easily visible to the naked eye. Flawless diamonds are very rare and therefore more valuable.
Some inclusions can be hidden when mounted, and have little effect on the beauty or brilliance of a stone.
